How to advertise this

Let's face it, the more people test/play, the faster development will be completed. Where to post and advertise this?

Places like Warseer, Dakka Dakka, Waaagh! other forums etc.

But I wouldn't advertise until it is more playable a lot of people get scared off by bugs and coding issues.

Perhaps bring in more later.

Yeah, since this project is in its early stages, it will scare off some people. Best to let things develop a little more before going on a promotional blitz.

Though a few more testers would be a good thing.

Most people will start coming when there is more to play around with. It's not that people arn't aware of the server, they are.

Advertising is going to be very difficult. Most likely.

I once mentioned some names where I shouldn't(GW Inquisitors lol!) and the following day the APS was closed due to some regulative.

EA would almost assuredly allow this server to exist and would also likely provide the necessary data. GW otoh... Good luck with those fasci fucks! No seriously! You're going to desperately need it!

Well I think there are 2 ways - lay on the back and pretend u never exists and hope EA and GW would ignore you or try to contact them if it would be possible to run small f2p server as fan project. I think number 1 is way more safe option. I really have no idea how might EA or GW react to this server. they might be just overlooking it so any contact might resolve in insta-shut down. maybe they do not care if it would be small f2p server. or maybe they are already deciding if they should shut it down.

Wow, what? EA is the biggest douchebag of a company there is! They are the reason WAR got released too early...

GW is not a video game company, I'm not sure how much they would actually sniff around after official WAR is closed. EA has also milked the game as much as it could, so unless they see the server making money and they get really jealous, I don't see a huge risk.
