Run as Admin and Compatability
You are also advised to right click the file Patcher.exe (that should be in your Warhammer directory after you copy it there) and set it to run as administrator and in compatibility mode as WIndows XP SP 3.

Well, I did it the correct way to begin with, but I still have to use "Run as administrator."

You will do. Even classic WAR often had to be run as admin

Well, I did it the correct way to begin with, but I still have to use "Run as administrator."

On my 64bit win 7 system I had to run as admin the first time, after that no longer needed the flag set, nor the compatability mode either....

I'm positive there are more errors out there, just wanted to dead with the mist common, especially people getting confused by the 64/32bit popups, which seems the most common.


Which client version am I running?

Right click war.exe, click details tab and you'll see the version.
