Display name on the forums?

[hexum]

I thought your forum display name was supposed to be your username that you chose after you registered a login name, not the login name itself? Or am I missing something here?

Would it be possible to allow for people to choose to use either their login OR username for their forum display name? Or at least make it so it's the Username rather than login one? And those who want theirs to be the same name can simply enter their login name as their username too?

Otherwise what is the purpose of both if the username doesn't show up anyway? (I must just be missing something lol)

Thanks
